What the Whalebuy Spreadsheet is, and who Whalebuy are
A catalog on one side, a buying and shipping company on the other. Here is where one ends and the other starts.
Checked October 22, 2026The Whalebuy Spreadsheet, unpacked without jargon
A Whalebuy Spreadsheet, in the sense shoppers use the word, is a product catalog: store listings from Taobao, 1688 and Weidian grouped by type, each shown as a card with a photo, a price and the store link. You browse by category, find something, and take the link to an agent who can buy it for you. This one has sixteen aisles and is built around Whalebuy, so the packing notes and the guide match Whalebuy's screens and rules.
Three things it is not. It is not a shop; nothing is sold or reserved here. It is not Whalebuy; we have no account role, no code and no say in prices. And the product cards are not inspection photos: they show what the store advertises, which is why the guide spends a whole stop on reading the warehouse photos before anything ships.
Whalebuy, the agent behind each order
Whalebuy is a shopping agent for buyers outside China. You give it a store link, it pays the seller, receives the item at its warehouse, checks and photographs it, stores it, and ships it abroad when you ask. It can also act as a forwarder for goods you bought yourself, and take manual orders for listings its system cannot read.
The service is run by XINGKUN TRADING CO., LIMITED, which its service terms name as owner and operator, with a registered address in To Kwa Wan, Hong Kong. Its user registration agreement says it was signed in Yuhang District, Hangzhou. The About page claims offices in the United States and China and service to 45 countries. Goods are received and packed at its warehouse in Xiamen, Fujian province; your account shows the full address when you need it for a forwarded parcel.
Practical details: prices can be shown in 18 currencies, the account wallet is topped up by PayPal, card, Wise in five currencies, or bank transfer, and there is a mobile app as well as the website. Sign-in works with email, Google or Discord.
Which side handles what
The split of work is simple. This site helps you find an item and understand the route; Whalebuy does everything that touches money or goods. When something goes wrong with an order, a parcel or a payment, only Whalebuy's support can act on it, through the "Consult" button on an order or [email protected]. When something is wrong on this site (a dead card, a fee we misread) write to us; the address is on the about page.
Whalebuy also runs its own catalog sections, such as "New In", "Hot Sellers" and a Bestseller list on its homepage. Those are useful for prices on the day. Our aisles are wider and come with notes about shipping, which is the part a store photo never tells you.
