Whalebuy notices, promotions, community chatter and this page's own log
Only dated items make this page. Undated claims stay out until a date can be attached.
Checked October 22, 2026Official notices that carry a date
Whalebuy posts official notices in its help centre under logistics, activity and other headings. Many are undated, so we list only the ones that carry a date, plus the dated lines on the homepage. Current promotions sit on the homepage "Event Calendar": a Discord invitation advertising a members' list of over five thousand discounted products, the first-parcel shipping coupon for registered users, a "must-read for newbies" guide and a $4.99 Discord flash-sale section.
| Date | Official notice | What it means now |
|---|---|---|
| November 29, 2023 | CN Line Ireland and CN Packet (UK, actual weight) prices adjusted at 19:00 Beijing time | Shows how route changes are announced: parcels submitted before the cut-off keep the old rate |
| November 30, 2023 | USPS and USPS West line prices adjusted at 19:00 | Same pattern for US lines |
| September 1, 2023 | Start date of the loss and damage compensation scheme | The claim windows on our after-sales page come from it |
| July to August 2026 | Homepage: "Video QC launches this July-August" | Check the added-services column for a video option |
| August 7 to 31, 2026 | Seventeen short videos on the official YouTube channel | Nothing newer as of October 22, 2026 |
| December 30 and 31, 2026 | End dates on the new-user and tiered shipping coupons | Use or lose the pack by then |
Current coupons, points and standing promotions
Beyond the coupon pack, Whalebuy runs standing schemes with published rules. A points scheme gives one point per yuan paid, credited after the parcel leaves the warehouse and void at the end of each calendar year. A membership ladder gives freight discounts by VIP level, earned through freight paid on received parcels. The promotion alliance pays an inviter $5 when a new user pays a first order and 1% of that user's later orders; we are not part of it and our links carry no invite code. The help centre also keeps the rules of past campaigns (a group-buy reward scheme, a free-shipping card, an Easter egg game and holiday coupon packs), which show the kind of offers that recur.
Community reports and the official channel
What do buyers say about Whalebuy? Less in public than about older agents. The official YouTube channel, Whalebuy Official, posted seventeen Shorts between August 7 and August 31, 2026: six are about the warehouse and inspection, one is a two-minute order walkthrough, the rest are seasonal and promotional. We list the ten most useful below; the order walkthrough and the QC clip are embedded in the guide and on the QC page.
The homepage advertises a Whalebuy Discord, including a members' spreadsheet, but no invite link was published on any page we read, so we cannot report on it. A Reddit search we ran for Whalebuy on October 22, 2026 was refused by Reddit, and we do not quote community claims we could not read ourselves. If you have used Whalebuy and want to send a dated, specific report (a line, a weight, a delivery time), the about page has our address; we will publish what we can check.
