The guide takes one order from link to delivery, step by step, using Whalebuy's own screenshots where the company published them. Two longer pages cover what happens between the warehouse shelf and your door, and the time limits that apply when something goes wrong.
Whalebuy’s official channel posted this two-minute walkthrough on August 15, 2026. It demonstrates the listing, option picker and item checkout; use the written guide below for the warehouse, parcel and after-sales stages.
A catalog on this side, a buying agent on the other
This site is a product catalog arranged by type, so you can browse by category, find a store listing on Taobao, 1688 or Weidian, and hand the link to Whalebuy. It is not a shop: nothing is sold here, and prices on product cards are the store price at the time the card was made.
Whalebuy is a shopping agent that buys from those Chinese stores on your behalf, receives the item at its warehouse in China, photographs it and ships it abroad on a line you choose. Its homepage sums the job up in four steps; the guide here splits it into nine because the payment and parcel stages each hide a decision. The operating company named in its terms is XINGKUN TRADING CO., LIMITED, with a Hong Kong address.

Two payments, a declaration fee and a top-up charge
Whalebuy's fee page gives the formula plainly: item cost plus international freight plus a customs declaration fee, which it puts at ¥8 per parcel in most cases. There is no separate purchasing service fee in that formula. Optional extras, such as a ¥20 trial pack or ¥1 detail photos, are priced one by one.
You pay twice. The first payment covers the item and the seller's freight to the warehouse; the second, after the item is weighed, covers the parcel. PayPal top-ups add a fee that two official pages state differently, 4.5% and 3.7%, each plus $0.30, so check the figure at checkout.

Dated 1 kg shipping examples, by destination
These are comparison quotes from October 21, 2026, for a 1 kg parcel to fourteen countries with no product type entered. The cheapest eligible result ranged from $21.40 to the United Kingdom to $49.02 to Sweden; the United States example was $36.01. Recheck your destination, contents and packed dimensions before using any figure as a budget. A battery, liquid or bulky carton may require a different line from this baseline.

Three free photos and their blind spots
Warehouse photos help compare what arrived with the paid order: count, colour, label and visible damage. The ordinary set is usually three views, but it does not establish performance, authenticity or precise fit. If a jacket’s width matters, request that measurement; if an accessory is missing, compare the received set with the option description. Resolve that question before combining the item into a parcel, using the QC checklist.

Calculators for weight, cost and deadlines
Four calculators on this site run in your browser and send nothing anywhere. One works out chargeable weight from a box size and the line's divisor; one adds up an order in yuan and dollars; one turns a "Stocked in" date into the return and storage deadlines; one reads a Taobao, Tmall, 1688 or Weidian address and gives back the bare item number. For product search by photo, use the image button on Whalebuy's own search bar.

Reasons to use Whalebuy, and reasons to pause
The case for Whalebuy rests on things you can read before signing up: a fee formula without a purchasing charge, a public estimator with line codes and transit days, 90 days of free storage and a priced list of extras. New accounts also get a coupon pack aimed at the first parcel.
The case against is also on the record. The Xiamen warehouse shows its street address only after login, the PayPal fee has two official values, and the help centre still shows test articles. If you want a community invite you can check before paying, Whalebuy's Discord link was not published anywhere we could read it.

Help desk and the words in the order screens
The help page gathers the questions frequently asked by first-time buyers, a glossary of the terms you meet in the order screens, and direct links to the official help articles we used. If a status label confuses you, the glossary has it; if a parcel is late, the after-sales page lists who to contact and by when.

Dated notices and our own edits
Whalebuy publishes route price changes and promotions as dated notices. The newest dated items we found were the coupon end dates, December 30 and 31, 2026, and the homepage line saying video QC would launch "this July-August". Its YouTube channel posted seventeen short videos between August 7 and August 31, 2026, then went quiet. Our own edits are logged on the same page.
